Driving all the way up from Washington D.C. to get worked on by Oakes Detail. This stunning color combo McLaren MP4 Spider received a wheels off, paint correction detail. Finished off with ceramic coating and clear film installation. On top of this, we also did a brake caliper color change from black to orange, which were also protected with ceramic coating to make brake dust easy to clean!
Blue Hera Lamborghini Murcielago Roadster sporting nine thousand miles came in to get a total make over. New to the owner, our goal was to get it looking better than when it left the factory. Which gave us a roman scrolls worth of work, starting with removing the existing partial bra which looked tired and faded but did it's job preserving the front end. This project also included full undercarriage, wheels, paint correction, ceramic nano coating, new clear film and even replacement of the existing battery tender wiring.
I was contacted to correct this Bull to remove some heavy defects from water blade use as well as your typical swirling and marring throughout. Over the course of approximately forty hours I labored to attend to all the defects, leaving it with a 98% corrected surface.
Yes, that's right, a 60,000 mile Murcielago!
This Rosso Andromeda Murcielago was prepared to display in the 2013 Philadelphia International Auto Show, my fourth consecutive year preparing vehicles for display, as some will remember the Spyker C8 Spyder I took down last year!
This particular example contacted me to get it looking new again, as well as putting some new rubber on her wheels and protecting the finish with the none other than CQuartz Finest!
As you will see in the many attached photos, we received the GT3 in it's driven and enjoyed state. We then prepped the entire vehicle, under carriage and all for a concourse level detail and paint correction
In a word, this car was a nightmare. After sitting in the corner of a body shop for nearly 14 months, the car suffered quite a bit of damage. Other factors contributed to the condition, but this sub 3k mile Spider looked aged in the least. After a total of 56 working hours removing layers and layers of over spray, and then defects in the actual paint, followed with multiple steps of polishing, the Nero Black came out better than new. The pics easily do the talking for this beautiful car, so I will let them tell the story!
This is certainly one of my bigger projects to date, both conditon and time wise! Still not sure how I managed to use only 40 photos to document the work, but none the less, it's story time! Also, the fun game of "wheres the logo" is back in these pictures as well.
Condition as she arrived, as you can see the paint wasn't showing the depth and gloss it should, especially for under 3k miles.
